How might it be to dance out anything that stands in the way of your loving? To let yourself fall, softly…into the center of your heart…into the most tender and sweetest cupping. To invite your body to release it’s holding, to drop the armor it carries to ‘keep you safe’. How might it be to tumble into the heart of your heart?
Where do I begin you may ask…where indeed. Breath into belly, deep into the base of pelvis…tingles down to feet and toes. I find connection here. Breath….deep into belly I feel circles of gentle movement, like the weight of my pendulum swings on the chain of my spine. Weight. Feet, ground, weight…I am held here. There is ease here…a reminder that all is as it should be. Breath, feet, belly we move through space, held. Following one foot to the other, pulled into the current, belly, feet, breath.
Spine curls and we wind through the room, arms extend as tendrils of breath fuel my surrender. Head drops, jaw softens, shoulders release. Feet, always back to the feet… sway and pulse with the beat as arms give way. I am home here…in this beat…in this body…this breath. Chest pumps, ribs to elbows…to beat back the binding…hips solid and strong, we spin and twist into the wild. Neck from spine, head and hair flying…all that keeps me from my loving is thrashed back…cut from its hold. Mouth open, fingers fling and sweat flies…surges of serpentine awaken me…deep inside I feel it…core to crown into the wild we go. Sound escapes it’s holding, breath, moans, roars, as I surrender to this exorcism of my caging fear.
Ecstatic expansion fills me…fills me to bursting…blows me open. Blows me open this devotion to the now, to the body, to the dance, my dance…my dance of loving. This is my dance of loving…sweet loving…light and loving…breathy loving…soft, safe, welcoming loving…I lilt with you…arms open to welcome…face lifts, mouth soft, I turn again and again to you…everywhere you are…tender and kind, generous and playful you caress me as I fall into your embrace. Into your embrace and holding I rest. Expanded and soft, gentle restful…quieting now…into the center…into the center of my cupping heart…into the center of this sweet loving…Into heart…the heart of heart…Into the center I rest.
